For all you Hip-Hop heads, another battle from my boy J Pro!
battleship
Just watched Battleship and I must say that I thought it was a good movie. It didn’t feel like it was too long, and there weren’t any cheesy moments in it. The action was also pretty good. A couple things I do want to add, I didn’t think Rihanna’s acting was that good at the beginning of the film, but it got better as the film went on. I was also hoping for an epic movie score, but I didn’t get that. Neither were deal breakers though, I would still recommend Battleship to anyone looking for a good film to watch this summer.

maker studios
So, as many of you probably have noticed, a lot of YouTube partners are joining “networks.” Well I’m very happy to share that yesterday I signed with Maker Studios! I’m very excited to be associated with such a powerhouse network. If you want to learn more about who they are and what they do, check out their website:
game 7
Surprisingly, I was able to sit through this entire beat down on my Lakers by the Denver Nuggets. I was expecting us to win tonight’s game so that we could get ready for the Thunder, but it looks like we weren’t ready. I’m hoping that Kobe gets over his stomach virus in time for Saturday night’s game because we’re going to need him playing at 100%. The only good I see coming out of tonight’s loss is that we now get Metta World Peace back. I’m expecting him to be a bit rusty, but I think it would be good for him to get his feet wet with some playoff action before jumping into the second round - Durant, Westbrook, and Harden are no joke, so his defense will have to be on point. We need to soak up every ounce of this loss so that we can come out ready to demolish these boys on Saturday. Game 7, can’t wait.
the avengers
So I saw The Avengers yesterday and I must say that I was impressed with the movie! Its story line was pretty basic and straightforward, which is expected from an action film, but the action definitely made up for it. I was glad that I watched most of the other movies leading up to this film (The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 1 & 2, Thor, Captain America) because I was in the loop with all of the references that were made to the preceding movies. The movie had a good mix of humor to it that I especially enjoyed. In my opinion, it’s a must see movie. A little bit of advice, If you’re going to watch this movie, make sure to sit through the credits.
A project I’m very proud to be a part of.
nba playoffs
This was a great weekend of basketball. There were some blowouts, and there were some close games. The Thunder/Mavs game was probably my favorite, although the Clippers/Grizzlies game was a very close second. And I’m sad that Rose tore his ACL, I was looking forward to the Bulls coming out of the East. All in all, both LA teams won, so it was a good start!
mad men
So after watching a few recorded episodes of Mad Men, back to back to back, I think it’s safe to say that I’m officially hooked. Besides the fact that it’s a really good show, I think that one of the reasons why I like it so much is because it reminds me of different periods of time when I was helping to create Playground Sessions. I’ve only seen a few episodes of the series, so maybe I’ll have to catch a few of the old ones to really be caught up with everything. At any rate, it’s a great show, if you haven’t seen it, you should check it out.
This is incredible.

My thoughts on the movie “Act Like a Lady, Think Like A Man”
Good movie.
However, I do feel that it simplified the complications between men and women.
Steve Harvey gives great advice. Based on the movie, I hope women don’t expect for it to work with the first man they try to apply this…
I love this song! M83, you got me.
Just found this pretty cool Katy Perry cover. Check it out!
hunger games
So I just watched “Hunger Games” and to be honest I’m not really sure if I liked it. It wasn’t a bad movie, and it had a good story line, but I think the fact that it left me tense during the entire film ruined the overall experience for me. There were a few twists in the film that I didn’t really expect, and of course there were some things that I did expect, but overall I wasn’t too crazy about the movie. There will be another movie released in the series and I will go see that, mainly out of curiosity, but I hope that the next film is a little easier to watch.
Now, the movie previews before the film started were hot! There’s a new Spider-Man movie coming out, starring Andrew Garfield (the actor who played Eduardo Saverin in “The Social Network”) and that movie looks dope! “GI Joe” also looks good, and so does “Snow White and the Huntsmen.” I’m definitely looking forward to watching all of them this summer. Hopefully they’ll all live up to the hype created by their previews. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
